For those of you just starting out doing kumihimo bracelets, you don't need to cut the string as long as in normal/alpha patterns. Each one only has to be about 20 inches.

what about if you want to do like 32 stringed braclets, will they still be 20 inch long?xx

No, it would probably need to be longer, but I'm not sure how long. It's better safe than sorry, so I would try like 40 inches and when you're done look at the leftover string to judge how long to cut it in the future.

I am just learning, I have done a 16 string kumihimo, but would like to learn 20 string. How would you sent up your disk, and the movements?

More strings means more pairs, the movements are always the same.
