[color=purple] Hello everyone! I want to make a bracelet for a guy friend of mine, but I don't know what pattern to make. Guys, list your favorites. Girls, ask your guy friends. It would be ideal for me to have one or two by the time his birthday rolls around during the beginning of October. His favorite color is blue, by the way. I know there are tons of forums about this, but I really need help. Please, PLEASE, recommend some patterns a 14 year old guy would like. Thanks!

I would say for guys, overall, the simpler the design, the better. Don't use colors that are too bright either. I'm only going off of instinct and what I've noticed with a bunch of my guy friends, the few that do wear jewelery (friendship bracelets included) usually stick to earthy/muted colors instead of neons. As for specific patterns, on a friendship bracelet Tumblr I saw a guy wearing #73. #9281, #13465, #1420 and any similar patterns look very "guy-ish" to me, which isn't saying a lot since I'd also wear them...

Yeah, I'd definitely include #1 and #2, those are really simple and can look awesome with the right colors. I've also made #28 for my brothers, and they both loved it.

Make the design simple & don't include hearts or peace signs.
If his favorite color is blue,
I'd use the color scheme of blue, white, grey, and black.
Another cool scheme for guys is green, blue, black, white.
